The Edge of November

Leaves weren't meant to be caged.

Then my friend Melissa joined me!

...and we ventured into Midtown (ATL, GA)

I see a pattern in my head.

Thinking about renting a bike to ride down the beltline to Cabbagetown
for the Chomp & Stomp Chili Cook-Off Festival next weekend.

...until we found out it was $70 for the day...Or not!

Advertisements for warmth! This means my favorite season is in full swing.

Back through the park we go.

The wind majorly picked up.
(outskirts of Hurricane Sandy)

While this is happening...

An enormous tree limb cracks from the wind, sparks flying as a powerline snaps.
10th Street jam while Melissa dials 911 to clear the road.

I can only imagine how the North East will be affected...
considering we are all the way down in the South!

Scared a tree might fall on me, so I hurried home.

My every-day view.

Leaf project underway.

So naturally, what does a good, frozen-handed hipster do when she gets back home?

Hot Chocolate in my "Cat Lover" mug.
My roommate, Kelsey, gave me this...

Don't worry, I'm not THAT catladyish.

Walk to a Mailbox

Red tips.

All the black sheep together.

Fall sports.

I love him.

God is the King of ombre.

I'd live here.

On the walk home...

Unusual light comes from sun reflecting off the stop sign directly in front of the pole.

The Look of Halloween

I've grown up loving Halloween...but recently I've discovered it's not Halloween that I like, it's the creativity, cheeriness (similar to Christmas), and family bonding that happens over a month of creepy decorating. I don't like the underlying theme of evil spirits and darkness that ultimately represents this holiday, but I like the mask of childhood fun, costumes, glowing pumpkins at dusk, and some candy that might be involved.

These folks had all kinds of crazy objects hanging from the tree on the left. It was sparkling in the sunset. Couldn't quite capture it with my 50mm lens. I love their mums.

This was just too well thought out not to include (despite the creepiness) - I do NOT like scary movies, etc. But props to these people. They probably work on the "Walking Dead" set.

Poncey Highlands

I grew up with these little guys. Simple and sweet, blowing in the wind.

Love the intensity.

Virginia Highlands

Just love this.

Couldn't resist.
